General Fund gifts help support the mission of Mt. Gilead. Operation expenses include the daily costs of running the camp: food, utilities, staff salaries, insurance, maintenance and vehicles.

STAFF HOUSING

Having quality staff housing is one of the best ways for Mt. Gilead to combat labor shortages.  When we offer housing to new staff, it often makes it possible for them to serve here.  A number of  staff houses are in need or repair.

CAMPERSHIPS

Sharing the transforming hope of Jesus Christ through a camp experience is the heartbeat of Mt. Gilead. Financial assistance through our Campership Fund is a necessity for some of our campers.

STAFF DONATIONS

Mt. Gilead staff members serve with a passion for ministry.  Staff members often receive less income than they could earn elsewhere.  Your gift designated to a staff member supports their ministry at Mt. Gilead.

CAPITAL PROJECTS

With 238 acres of land there are endless ways we can enhance the ministry of Mt. Gilead.  The Capitol Projects Fund provides resources for large and costly projects like cabin renovation of 31 cabins.

Rain Water Catchment Project

We were blessed to receive grants through the Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District  for installing a rain water catchment system that will ensure green fields even during the hottest weeks of camp, minimize our reliance on well water and protect our creek.  In addition, we have just completed the GILEAD PAVILLION to provide shade in the summer and rain protection in the winter over the basketball court and chalkball wall.
