It is a supremely weird time to live. There is a great tide of fear running through out the world right now and it is quite easy to get swept along with it, except for as believers the Lord tells us to live differently...to be set apart.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control] 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible
God did not give us a spirit of stupidity, recklessness or rebellion. So of course we should be wise and respectful of the governing authorities and thank them for the service they give on our behalf, but we are called to be light to the world, not a mirror of the world. Lord help us to walk so close to you we can not help but shine your light, your love and your calm to others. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
