By Faith Mt. Gilead Was Founded

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:1-3

 By faith, great and mighty things happen. In 1963, by faith, Dwight Jungkeit had a vision for a camp that could minister to children in northern California. There was nothing even remotely resembling a camp on the densely forested property, only a small cabin. But Dwight had a vision and a calling and he never dropped the ball or the vision. Today, 62 years later Mt. Gilead is a well-established Bible camp that continues to share the good news about Jesus and the salvation He offers.
