Women’s Retreat
Your Retreat. Your Weekend.
Every year, the Women’s Retreat at Mt. Gilead is prayerfully planned with you in mind — and that is not just a phrase. It is the heartbeat of everything we do. Each session, seminar, and shared meal is chosen to offer you teaching that is encouraging, relevant, and solidly Biblical.
This weekend is a gift. A gift of time, of rest, of genuine community, and of space to hear from God without the noise of ordinary life pressing in. Whether you have been coming for decades or this is your first year, you will find a place here.
Bring your Bible, bring a friend, and come ready to receive all that the Lord has for you.

Event & Registration Info
What Is The Mt. Gilead Women’s Retreat?
The Women’s Retreat is held annually each spring at Mt. Gilead Bible Camp in Sebastopol, CA. Our 2027 Retreat weekend is scheduled for April 23-25, 2027. Space is limited — we encourage you to register early. Contact the Mt. Gilead office for more information.
We especially encourage you to invite your teenage daughters and granddaughters (ages 13+) to attend. Teenagers are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a retreat for every generation of women.
PLEASE NOTE: Our heart is to give women a break and provide for them a place to rest and relax, free from their usual responsibilities. To that end, we respectfully request that little ones remain at home so that moms and others attending the retreat can fully focus on what the Lord has for them and go home refreshed and encouraged.

Saturday Seminars
One of the most beloved parts of the weekend, the Saturday seminars are small-group breakout sessions led by women from our community. Topics are chosen each year to meet women where they are — addressing faith, family, purpose, seasons of life, and the deep truths of Scripture.
Seminar topics and leaders are announced as each year’s retreat is planned. Past seminar themes have included Anchoring Your Family, Aging Grace, Hope in the Fog, and Making Room for the Word of God — thoughtfully and prayerfully planned to be rich, practical, and deeply encouraging.

Anchoring Your Family
Raising a family is full of joys and challenges as we ride on the seas of life. With so many different obstacles to establishing and maintaining a healthy family it is important to be anchored to Jesus, but how do you anchor your family to Jesus in a manner that is authentic, heart-felt and enduring? It all begins with us as anchored parents. Discover the joy and relief of leading our families while relying fully on Him. (Deut. 6:6-9)
Leader – Talitha Weaver & Susan Kniss
Hope In The Fog
When the future looks uncertain and we are not sure which way to go, there is comfort in knowing that the Lord who created the foggy circumstances can guide us through them. Join us as we study the lives of saints that found themselves in the same predicament and found strength and guidance from God. (Genesis 50:20)
Leader – Lisa Lantz & Angela Nielsen
Seasoned With Salt: The Art of Spiritual Conversation
Have you ever desired to engage in meaningful dialogue with someone who is coming from a different perspective, but don’t know how to get started? We will explore ways to connect with young and old, believers and non-believers by employing strategic questions to open up spiritual conversations. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Col 4:6)
Leader – Kate Chera

Aging Grace
Discover God’s grace for us and His plan when we can no longer serve the Lord in the ways we have in the past, recognizing that our worth and value to God and the body of Christ does not diminish with age, but the tasks the Lord may assign us in this season may shift. Are we willing to lean into His grace to accomplish what He needs done, for His glory and our benefit? (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Leaders – Sandi King & Renée Vargas
Making Room For the Word of God
The Bible calls us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly—but how do we do that when we’re constantly flooded with information from every direction? Join us as we study Psalm 119 and discover the relevance and authority of God’s Word, which speaks into our lives and settles our souls as we see the faithful character of God.
Leader – Jan Wells
Good God Almighty
Christian singer, David Crowder opens his song with the phrase, “Good God, Almighty.” Indeed, our God is good and He is almighty, but do we live in the reality of that knowledge? Our all-sufficient God, creator of the universe is indeed capable of helping us in the most minute detail of our lives. He is more than willing. Come see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)
Leader – Molly Wells
