Mt. Gilead Jobs
Spend Your Summer Where It Matters! Join a staff family pursuing Jesus together in the redwoods of Sonoma County, California.
Why Choose Mt. Gilead?
Nestled in the towering redwoods, there is a palpable peace on the grounds that is hard to describe, but unmistakably evident. The peace doesn’t exist as a mere extension of the beautiful scenery, but is truly connected to this camp’s dedication to the Lord in 1963.
Since 1963 Mt. Gilead has never veered off course from our core mission to evangelize and disciple young people while partnering with the local Christian church. Our camp name encapsulates who we are – Mt. Gilead, “a witness on the hill” to the glory of God. We are unabashedly a Bible camp.

Find Your Next Adventure At Mt. Gilead!
Mt. Gilead is a place where God works and moves in the lives of those we serve. Our staff members play an essential role in providing a warm, comfortable and inviting place for our guests to learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. In order to accomplish that, we seek out employees that have a vibrant walk with God, are called to the ministry of Mt. Gilead, and are willing to work hard and serve with excellence. We desire team members who want to make an eternal difference in the lives of all those we serve, which include our summer camp kids, church and school group guests, as well as men and women retreat guests.
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. – Colossians 3:23-24

Summer 2026 Positions
Counselors
Looking for the opportunity to be used by God this summer, but don’t have the whole summer to serve? Join our team for one or more of the most meaningful weeks of your life.

Leadership
Behind every great camp week is a Leadership Team keeping it moving, a Worship Coordinator drawing hearts toward God, and a Timothy Team Leader investing in the next generation. If you’re a servant leader who thrives in fast-paced, people-centered ministry, one of these roles may be calling your name.

Support Staff
Whether you’re running the zip line, answering the phones, or keeping the grounds beautiful, Support Staff are the hands and feet that make every camp week possible. If you love practical, behind-the-scenes work and find joy in serving others, there’s a place for you here.

Health Care
Great camp care is more than bandages — it’s a ministry. Our Camp Nurse and First Aid Assistant create the safe, attentive environment that lets everything else at Mt. Gilead thrive.

Year-Round Positions
Behind every guest group and every meal served at Mt. Gilead is a steady, faithful team keeping the camp running year-round. If you’re looking for more than a summer — and want to build your life around a ministry that matters — these roles are for you.

In a time when popular philosophy often dictates beliefs, Mt. Gilead has maintained a high view of Scripture, a commitment that is reassuring to young people and parents seeking a ministry that does not compromise truth.
At Mt. Gilead you are given time and space to grow in your faith alongside a staff family passionately pursuing Jesus and offering authentic friendship.
Since our founding, Mt. Gilead has had only three Executive Directors. This continuity of leadership reflects a steadfast focus on the Lord, His mission, and His Word, a legacy we receive as a gift of God’s grace and a responsibility we take seriously.
